JFrog’s Third Quarter Topped Forecasts As Cloud Sales Jumped

Third-quarter revenue reached $179.2 million, up 31% from a year earlier. That result cleared the $165.9 million analysts had expected, and management said the figure came in above the high end of its own guidance. Adjusted earnings were $0.32 a share, against the $0.23 analysts expected.

The cloud business posted the fastest growth. Its revenue climbed 60% from a year earlier, while revenue from customers who run JFrog’s software on their own servers increased 6%. Management said the cloud gain came from turning customers’ usage above their contracts into larger annual contracts, and from wider use of its security products. During the quarter, JFrog also signed a $76 million multiyear cloud contract with one of the world’s leading telecommunications companies.

Profit improved on management’s own adjusted measure, with an operating margin of 22.7% against an adjusted 18.7% a year earlier. Revenue already under contract but not yet booked totaled $812 million at September 30, up 60% from a year earlier. Management also raised its full-year 2026 revenue forecast again, to a range of $680 million to $682 million.

Most Peer Stocks Fell While JFrog Rose

JFrog stood largely alone in its advance. XLK, the SPDR fund for information technology stocks, added 1.5% that session, far less than JFrog, and the Nasdaq Composite index rose 1.1%. Four of the five companies on the Trefis peer list for JFrog declined, including GitLab, down 1.8%. Alphabet was the one peer to advance, rising by 0.8%.

How Rare Was JFrog’s One-Day Gain?

No session in the prior 365 days saw JFrog stock move this much in either direction. The November 6 gain followed a 13.6% fall on November 5.

Over the past 12 months, the stock has returned 119.0%, against 9.8% for the S&P 500. At the November 6 close, shares sat just below their highest close of the past year, which was $104.03 on August 27, 2026. The lowest close of that year was $34.75, on February 23, 2026.

Cloud revenue is the measure to watch when JFrog reports its fourth-quarter results, expected in February 2027.
