Arista Networks (ANET) stock rose 7.3% on Friday, November 6, 2026, outpacing a 0.3% gain in the S&P 500. The company submitted no filings on November 5 or 6, and its latest earnings call took place on November 3. The Friday advance came a day after Arista fell 10.8% on November 5, recovering only part of that drop. So what was going on in the stocks that trade alongside Arista?

Arista Rose The Day AI Server Stocks Rebounded

Arista advanced on the same day AI server stocks clawed back part of a Thursday sell-off that followed the midterm elections. Dell Technologies and Hewlett Packard Enterprise were among the server makers trading higher on Friday. A day earlier, a broad retreat from AI infrastructure stocks hit the networking group just as Morgan Stanley downgraded Cisco Systems.

Remarks from management on the November 3, 2026 call outline how closely Arista is tied to AI spending. The company has passed 100 customers for Etherlink, its switches for AI training and inference. For 2027, management expects about $18.5 billion in total revenue, with its AI networking sales doubling to about $7 billion. The company also said third-quarter revenue of $3.66 billion, up 58.5% from a year earlier, was driven by strength in both AI and enterprise customers.

Did Arista Move With Other Networking Stocks?

For the most part, yes, though Arista advanced far more than technology stocks as a whole. The SPDR technology sector fund (XLK) gained 1.5% on Friday, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.1%. Four of the five companies on Arista’s Trefis peer list posted gains, including Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Extreme Networks, which reports said is exploring a potential sale after attracting acquisition interest, rose 14.2%. Cisco Systems was the sole peer to decline, falling 2.0%. Arista ultimately moved with most of its peers, but outperformed its sector fund and the broader market.

Where Does Arista Stock Stand After Two Big Days?

Friday’s climb is not a first for Arista: the stock recorded six sessions with a gain at least this large in the prior 365 days. It returned 21.6% over the past twelve months, compared to 9.8% for the S&P 500. Trading over the past month went the other way. From October 8 to November 6, Arista fell 19.0%, against a 4.9% drop for the S&P 500.

Over the past year, closing prices ranged from a low of $116.13 on March 30, 2026 to a high of $216.74 on October 9, 2026. Friday’s $170.80 close leaves the stock well below that October peak. At that level, you pay 18.1 times trailing sales for Arista stock, against 3.1 times for the S&P 500.

When Arista reports in February 2027, the measure to watch is revenue for the fourth quarter of 2026, against management’s forecast of $3.9 billion to $4 billion.

Does This Mean You Should Act On ANET?

Our purpose is to inform you with unique data so you make the right investment decisions. That said, betting on a single stock is always risky, no matter which direction you choose.

There is a smarter approach. Since its inception, the Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio has returned 105%, beating the benchmark that combines the three major indices – the S&P 500, S&P Mid-cap, and Russell 2000. And it did so without taking the concentrated risk that comes with do-it-yourself stock picking. If that is how you want to invest, the HQ Portfolio is the place to start.
