Accenture (ACN) stock returned 47.3% in the three months to November 6, 2026, while the S&P 500 lost 4.6%. The shares closed that day at $260.5, leaving them just 7.1% below their January high and putting buyers near the peak price of the past year. Over the full year, however, the stock returned 8.8%, tracking closely with the index’s 9.8%. After a run that fast, is Accenture stock still priced reasonably for what the company earns?

Accenture Stock Still Costs Less Than The S&P 500

Looking at earnings, yes. Accenture trades at 18.7 times its earnings over the last twelve months, compared with 21.8 for the S&P 500. That multiple climbed quickly. On September 30, right before the shares jumped in October, it sat at 13.2, marking the second lowest of the 40 fiscal quarter-end readings since fiscal 2017. It previously peaked at 42.3 in fiscal Q1 2022.

Margins sit near their best, meaning the below-market multiple is not a sign of a less profitable business. Over the last twelve months, Accenture reported an operating margin of 15.8%, higher than at 38 of those 40 quarter ends. What has changed is Accenture’s growth. Full-year revenue growth came in at 6.5% in fiscal 2026, down from 21.9% in fiscal 2022. Management said organic growth, which leaves out acquisitions, was about 3% in fiscal 2026. Buyers are now paying a lower multiple for a business growing more slowly, part of it through acquisitions.

Accenture’s Guide For The First Quarter Of Fiscal 2027

Analysts are counting on a quarter at the top of management’s guide. They expect sales of $19.6 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, matching the top end of the company’s guide of $18.95 billion to $19.6 billion. Accenture already beat its own guide in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, when management said sales of $18.7 billion came in above the top end of its guided range.

Repeating that performance depends on client spending. Management said the top of its fiscal 2027 range allows for discretionary spending that is stable to slightly improving, while the bottom allows for it to get worse. For fiscal 2027, management expects revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency. It also said Accenture saw lower pricing in many areas of its business in the fourth quarter. Demand held up on the same call, with Accenture booking $22.2 billion of new work in the fourth quarter, 1.2 times its revenue.

How Accenture Stock Has Moved After Its Reports

Accenture is expected to report results for the first quarter of fiscal 2027 in December 2026. Following recent reports, the stock has swung both ways. Shares rose 15.8% on October 1, 2026, the day of the fourth-quarter report, and then fell 8.1% over the next two trading days. Following the September 2025 report, the stock gained 6.2% over two trading days.

Buying now also means holding through any market shock before that report. During the 2025 tariff shock, Accenture stock fell 28%, against 19% for the S&P 500.

Revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, measured against the top of management’s guide, is the number to watch in that December report.
