Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM) announced the launch of Data.com, a cloud based database of company and customer contact information for use in CRM systems, at the Dreamforce 2011 conference [1]. In 2010 Salesforce acquired Jigsaw, a crowd sourced online business directory with over 30 million contacts in 2010. For Data.com, Salesforce.com will partner with Dun & Bradstreet to provide users with access to more than 200 million businesses. It will be seamlessly integrated with Jigsaw for Salesforce. Salesforce.com currently competes with heavyweights like SAP (NYSE:SAP), Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and IBM (NYSE:IBM) in the CRM space and has a 15% share in the overall CRM market. However, it is the market leader when it comes to cloud based, on-demand CRM.

We currently have a $124 Trefis price estimate for Salesforce.com which is slightly higher than its market price.
