SAP (NYSE:SAP) recently acquired SuccessFactors, a leading provider of cloud based HR (human resource management) solutions. It plans to integrate SuccessFactor’s HRM solutions into its Business ByDesign ERP offering and enter the enterprise cloud-based software market to compete with the likes of Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM). While the acquisition process moves forward, SuccessFactors announced that it has acquired Jobs2Web, a cloud-based recruiting platform that enables companies to hire candidates through social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Jobs2Web acquisition to bolster SuccessFactors’ HRM Offering

Jobs2Web specializes in providing applicant tracking software, which enables hiring managers to connect with potential candidates by leveraging social networks.

Lars Dalgaard, founder and CEO, SuccessFactors said

It was easy for SuccessFactors to pull the trigger on acquiring Jobs2web, despite an extremely competitive acquisition fight for them, because they have so many powerful assets. First, they’re growing incredibly fast. And they are completely disrupting the way companies can make social networks their friends in recruiting and not a distraction, helping hiring managers find people in ways they never could before. Lastly, the analytics dashboards provide quality insights not seen in this industry before. There are 300 million job searches alone on Google each year, that companies don’t know how to get to, with Jobs2web SuccessFactors can help companies turn resumes into candidates, broadcasting their jobs in all social networks.

Jobs2Web’s technology will be integrated with SuccessFactors’ Recruiting Management HRM offerings, which will be rolled into SAP’s ERP (enterprise resource planning) division.

Enterprise Resource Planning software accounts for nearly 38% of SAP’s $63 Trefis price estimate, and generates a major portion of its revenues.
