Joby Aviation (JOBY) stock rose 11.9% on Friday, November 6, 2026, outpacing a 0.3% gain for the S&P 500. The advance followed a 5.0% climb on November 5, the day the company filed its quarterly report with the SEC, and arrived two days after the release of its third-quarter results on November 4. Two industry peers, Archer Aviation and Eve, posted even larger gains during the session, making the move harder to read. So what did Joby report for the third quarter?

What Did Joby’s Third-Quarter Report Show?

Joby reported rapid sales growth alongside a higher forecast. Revenue reached $55.1 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, climbing 144% from a year earlier. Management said on the November 4 call that the revenue came mostly from Blade, its passenger flight business. Blade flew more than 44,000 passengers, the most in any quarter in its history.

Management also raised its revenue forecast for 2026 to a range of $135 million to $140 million, up from $115 million to $125 million. The company said the same day that the U.S. Air Force added funding for its autonomous flight technology, bringing the Air Force’s total commitment to nearly $37 million.

The business is still far from a profit, though. Joby recorded an operating loss of $278 million in the quarter, larger than the $261 million loss in the second quarter.

Did Joby Rise Alone Or With Archer And Eve?

Joby did not rise alone: Archer Aviation gained 14.7% on November 6, and Eve gained 17.8%. Boeing, another Joby peer, rose 0.5%, and the fund that tracks Industrials stocks, XLI, rose 0.1%. You can see that Joby moved with Archer and Eve that day, not with the broader market or its sector.

Where Joby Stock Stands After The Rise

A gain of this size is rare for Joby. One session in the prior year delivered a rise at least as large, and the latest move this big in either direction was a 14.3% fall on June 5, 2026.

The rally also follows a long slide. Joby stock lost 60.5% over the past twelve months, while the S&P 500 returned 9.8%. Friday’s close of $5.93 sits far below its highest close of the past year, $16.35 on November 11, 2025. The stock has climbed off its low of $4.61 on October 14, 2026, though. Over the past month it rose 3.1%, while the S&P 500 lost 4.9%.

A 60.5% slide, then a sharp bounce. Make sure your portfolio can handle a crash and a rally.

At Friday’s close, you pay 39.0 times Joby’s sales over the past twelve months, against 3.1 times for the S&P 500. When Joby reports its fourth-quarter 2026 results, full-year revenue against management’s raised forecast is the figure to watch.
