JetBlue Corporation (NYSE:JBLU) reported an unremarkable performance in almost all of its key metrics in the February 2017 period. The carrier grew its capacity at a rate of 0.7% y-o-y, in contrast to almost 8% in January. However, in terms of traffic, revenue passenger miles were up only slightly, at 0.1% y-o-y and passengers boarded increased 2% y-o-y, as opposed to 11.6% y-o-y in January. However, the load factor was down moderately to 82.6%.

Furthermore, the company’s unit revenues improved 1.5% y-o-y in February, which is the first month to see positive unit revenue growth in almost a year. However, the company expects Q1’17 unit revenues to decline by 4%-5%, due to the impact of placement of the Easter holiday and the winter storm which has hit the east coast of the U.S.
