Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) declared its results for the third quarter on September 7th. The stock declined a meager 2% as the revenues and EPS were below the Wallstreet consensus expectations. However, the company was able to sell its non-core software businesses for a cash consideration of $2.5 billion and a 50.1% stake in a newly formed company. The new company would be formed through a Reverse Morris Trust  transaction and merged with Britain’s Micro Focus International Plc (MCRO.L). [1] The table below summarizes the results:
