AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) stock lost 54.7% over the year to November 2, 2026, while the S&P 500 returned 11.5%. For those who own or watch the stock, the worry is whether the company will deliver what management targeted on its August 10, 2026 call: about 45 BlueBird satellites in orbit by early 2027. Which of the events below could move AST SpaceMobile stock the most over the next six months?

What to watch When Which way it cuts
Third-quarter results, with capital spending guided at about $350 million to $425 million November 2026 Against the stock
Service capability ready for consumers later in 2026 In its favour
Full-year 2026 revenue against the $150 million to $200 million goal full year 2026, reported in March 2027 Either way
About 45 BlueBird satellites in orbit early 2027 Either way

BlueBird Satellites Due In Orbit By Early 2027

The satellite launches matter most. Management said on that call that its revenue plan depends on several things, including the successful launch and deployment of BlueBird satellites tied to U.S. government work and the contract milestones that go with them. The company had 13 spacecraft in orbit at the time, so most of the target still has to go up in the coming months.

Management estimates each satellite costs about $21 million to $23 million including launch, against $115 million in revenue over the last twelve months. At that cost, the 32 satellites still needed in August to reach 45 would cost about $670 million to $740 million. One launch has already gone wrong: on April 19, 2026, BlueBird 7 reached a lower orbit than planned and was taken out of orbit. Management has 10 launches booked with two providers and announces each about two months ahead, so the number of BlueBird satellites in orbit is the measure to watch through early 2027. On the same call, management said it is targeting later in 2026 to have the service ready for consumers.

AST SpaceMobile’s Revenue Goal For 2026

Management expects revenue of $150 million to $200 million for the full year 2026. The company repeated this goal on the August 10 call and is expected to report that full year in March 2027. Revenue for the first half of 2026 came to $46.2 million, so most of the goal still has to arrive in the second half.

Management has said as much, noting it expects revenue to grow every quarter and to be weighted toward the fourth quarter. Second-quarter revenue came mainly from commercial gateway deliveries and U.S. government service milestones. Management said revenue rose in the quarter because of the timing of both. Quarterly revenue, starting with the November 2026 report, is the number to watch.

Third-Quarter Spending On Launches

The third-quarter report, expected in November 2026, will show how much cash the launch program used. The company has set its business update call for November 9, 2026. Management guided capital spending for that quarter at about $350 million to $425 million, which consists mostly of launch payments that vary from quarter to quarter.

On a pro forma basis that includes the convertible notes sold in July, management put cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash at over $3.7 billion as of June 30, 2026. Management said that the balance sheet lets the company complete a constellation of over 100 BlueBird satellites. Separately, a securities class action alleges the company misstated its capital and liquidity position, and the deadline to seek lead-plaintiff status is November 13, 2026. Capital spending and the cash balance at September 30, 2026, both due in the November report, are the measures to watch. One quarter of spending at the guided level is three to nearly four times the $115 million of revenue over the last twelve months, which is why the table marks this report against the stock.

Could You Hold AST SpaceMobile Through These Dates?

Holding this stock has meant sitting through very large swings. AST SpaceMobile stock fell 72.7% from its close on May 28, 2026, to November 2, 2026, over 109 trading sessions. Inside that fall, the stock also rose 21.4% in a single session, so the moves have run both ways.

Even if the launches, the revenue goal, and the spending all go as management plans, a holder still has to get through months like these. The position size that works is one you could keep through a fall like that while the BlueBird satellites go up.
