TransDigm (TDG) stock lost 15.9% over the past year, including dividends, while the S&P 500 returned 15.1%. At $1,104.84, the shares are back at a price where they bounced before, and buyers may be betting they will again. For that to happen, TransDigm has to keep selling more parts for new Boeing and Airbus planes and hold its margin as it absorbs two recent acquisitions. So how has TransDigm stock done at this price before, and on its latest visits?

TransDigm Stock’s Bounces And Slides At This Price

The stock bounced near this price four times between March 2024 and April 2025, but not on its latest visits. In the year following each of those four bounces, the best gain ranged from 17.1% to 30.9%, with a median of 29.7%. Those are the rallies that worked, though: times when the price slid first are not among them.

Recent visits went the other way. TransDigm entered this price band three times over the two years to October 23, 2026. None of the three rose 20% before falling 5% from where it entered, and all three fell 5% first.

How Much A TransDigm Bounce Could Make You

An investment of $10,000 into TransDigm stock today would be worth about $12,310 if the shares climbed to $1,359.74, the price where rallies stalled six times before. A median past bounce from this price would have turned the same $10,000 into $12,970, so the shares would need a smaller gain to reach that resistance than they made on a typical good bounce. Two lower levels stand in the way: rallies stalled once at $1,253.52 and four times at $1,307.81.

The business behind that upside is growing a little slower than its own record. TransDigm’s sales rose 16.6% over the twelve months to June 27, 2026, compared with an average of 17.1% over the last three such periods.

Sales For New Boeing And Airbus Planes Keep Growing

In fiscal Q3 2026, TransDigm’s commercial OEM revenue from parts sold to plane makers rose about 17% from a year earlier, as production rates at Boeing and Airbus kept rising, management said.

Management expects commercial OEM growth in the mid-teens percentage range for fiscal 2026. It also raised its full-year sales forecast to $10.5 billion at the midpoint, from $10.4 billion in May. So far, TransDigm is delivering the growth a bounce would need.

TransDigm’s Margin Has Held, But Debt Is Heavy

TransDigm’s operating margin reached 46.5% in the twelve months to June 27, 2026, up from 46.3% a year earlier. The quarter that first included Jet Parts and Victor Sierra, acquired early in the third quarter, was weaker. Its quarterly operating margin was 45.5%, down from 46.7% a year earlier.

Against that, TransDigm carries heavy debt. Its total debt equals 52.8% of its market value, against 19.4% for the S&P 500. Management also said on the August 4, 2026 call that its forecast implies a lower adjusted margin in the fiscal fourth quarter than in the third. A close under $1,049.60, 5% below today’s price, would break this support. TransDigm has not closed that low in the two years to October 23, 2026, so there is no recent price below it where the stock has held.

Sales of parts for new Boeing and Airbus planes are still growing, and the operating margin has held so far, though management expects its adjusted margin to slip in the fourth quarter. TransDigm’s margin for that quarter is the number to watch when the company reports in November 2026.
