Market Movers | Winners: TTRX, ORBS, NUAI | Losers: DYN, SGML, XFOR
A day of sharp individual moves raises the question of which gains have staying power.
The S&P 500 fell 0.6% on the day, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1.2%. Against that backdrop, Turn Therapeutics (TTRX) posted a gain of +29.2%.
The real question for any investor scanning a list of extremes is whether a move is a one-off event or part of a larger trend. Today’s lists offer a clear example of both.

What is the right way to use these lists?
A large price change is information about attention and risk, never an instruction to act. The names in the tables earlier are starting points for research, not conclusions.
The disciplined follow-up is to investigate the underlying business. A stock price is not the company, and a one-day, one-week, or even one-month return reveals little about its long-term prospects.
Either side of these lists can be a lead worth following, with the same follow-up question: does the business back the move? For the winners, our Guidance Momentum screen tracks which companies raised their own forward numbers. For the losers, our Buy the Dip screen flags which marked-down names still have the fundamentals to recover.
The Tape Rewards Attention. It Punishes Reaction
Big daily moves pull hard at both greed and fear, and acting on either, day after day, is how most portfolios end up trailing the index they were trying to beat.
The Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio is built for the opposite reflex: about 30 quality businesses screened for the fundamentals that survive volatile stretches, held with rules instead of reactions. It has a track record of outpacing a benchmark that combines the three major indices – the S&P 500, S&P Mid-cap, and Russell 2000. Read the movers daily; trade them rarely.
