Pershing Square (PS) stock rose 13.2% on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, as the S&P 500 gained 1.6%. The move accompanied a broader rise in financial stocks and followed the investment firm’s third-quarter results on November 2 and its earnings call on November 3. What did Pershing Square tell investors in those two days?

Pershing Square Added Assets And Plans A New Fund
Pershing Square reported a 3.2% increase in fee-paying assets under management for the third quarter compared with the second quarter. The firm operates on a permanent capital model, holding the money it manages in closed-end fund structures that keep outflows small. During the earnings call, management said third-quarter expenses fell 1% from a year earlier and noted a similar year-over-year change is possible in the fourth quarter.
Management also used the call to outline a new investment vehicle it plans to take public. Pershing Square will seed the vehicle with a couple of hundred million dollars of assets, and will likely raise more money for it in a private placement first. The firm is targeting the first quarter for the public listing and provided a rough guide of $500 million to $1 billion for the vehicle’s starting size.
The new vehicle would charge a 2% fee, matching the rate of Pershing Square USA, a closed-end investment company listed on the NYSE. Management said the structure would offer public market investors the lowest-cost way to access private businesses.
Did Pershing Square Outpace Blackstone And KKR?
Yes. Pershing Square advanced alongside Blackstone and KKR on November 4, but its gain was more than double that of either peer. Blackstone gained 6.2% and KKR gained 5.6% that day.
The broader market also rose on November 4 after the U.S. midterm election results, and the financial sector fund XLF gained 3.5%. On November 3, the day the call was held, Pershing Square stock rose 0.1%.
Where Does Pershing Square Stock Stand Now?
Pershing Square stock has made similar moves before, recording five daily rises of at least this size since its April listing. The latest was a 13.7% gain on September 18, 2026.
Even with the daily gain, the stock remained below its highest close since listing, which was $59.75 on October 6, 2026. The shares fell 11.4% from that high through November 4, compared with a 1.6% fall for the S&P 500. Over the six months leading up to November 4, however, the stock returned 55.2%, against a 7.4% return for the S&P 500. Its lowest close was $24.20 on April 29, 2026, its first day of trading on the NYSE, so its record covers only about six months.
Pershing Square is expected to report its fourth-quarter 2026 results in February 2027, and the measure to watch then is the change in its fee-paying assets under management.
