An investor holding $10,000 in Kymera Therapeutics (KYMR) stock on October 22, 2025, held a position worth about $19,850 a year later on October 23, 2026. Most of the company’s announcements over that year concerned one experimental pill: KT-621, an oral STAT6 degrader it is testing in atopic dermatitis and asthma. How early did Kymera say where it was heading, and had the stock already moved before that year began?

Kymera Doubled Down On Immunology Pills In 2024

Kymera told investors where it was heading almost a year earlier. During its October 31, 2024 call for fiscal Q3 2024, management said the company had increased its focus on immunology, a segment where it held a portfolio of oral drugs. They planned to commit even more of their resources there. On the same call, management said they would take two other drugs, KT-333 and KT-253, beyond early trials only with a partner.

The first evidence for KT-621 itself came in the spring of 2025. On May 19, 2025, Kymera said the pill matched or beat dupilumab, the drug it measures KT-621 against, in a preclinical model of chronic asthma. On June 2, 2025, the company said the pill’s results in healthy volunteers surpassed its own target profile, adding that the program was now far less risky. Later that month, investors bought $250.8 million of new Kymera shares at $44.00 each.

The signs were public, and the stock climbed as the news came out. Kymera shares returned 81.8% in the six months before October 22, 2025, a span that includes those announcements. An investor who bought on the 2025 data in October 2025 was purchasing after a large rise, though the shares still nearly doubled over the following year.

What Changed At Kymera During The Run

Kymera’s gain over the year was more than six times the S&P 500’s 15.1% return over the same dates. Its peers went in different directions: Nurix Therapeutics returned 138.4% while Arvinas lost 21.6%, so the entire group did not rise together.

The main change at Kymera was KT-621 moving from healthy volunteers to patients. In March 2026, the company presented positive results from its BroADen Phase 1b trial in patients with atopic dermatitis. Investors were also paying more for new shares. In December 2025, Kymera sold about $692 million of new stock at $86 a share, about twice the price it received in June 2025.

Revenue remains small beside the value investors now place on Kymera. The company reported revenue of $105 million over the four quarters to June 30, 2026, against a market value of about $10.9 billion at the latest close.

Is Kymera Still Adding Evidence For KT-621?

Yes, and sooner than Kymera first planned. In January 2026, the company expected results from BROADEN2, its larger Phase 2b trial in atopic dermatitis, by mid-2027. On August 5, 2026, it said enrollment was complete nearly six months ahead of schedule. The company now expects data by year-end 2026 and plans to begin Phase 3 trials by mid-2027.

Kymera returned 0.6% in the three months to October 23, 2026, against 3.1% for the S&P 500. Its latest close of $110.76 sits below the high close of $127.31 it reached on August 19, 2026.

Kymera’s next quarterly report is expected in October 2026. The BROADEN2 results in atopic dermatitis, which Kymera expects by the end of 2026, are the measure to watch next.

How To Act On KYMR?
