Is The Market Underpricing FTAI Aviation Stock?

Shares of FTAI Aviation (FTAI) have lost a third of their value since April 24, 2026. A buyer today pays 31.9 times the company’s earnings over the past twelve months. This multiple sits below the 39.3 average of its quarter-end readings over the past three years, excluding figures above 100 and those at or below zero. So how much could the stock gain from FTAI’s own growth, with no help from a higher P/E?

All Of FTAI’s Upside Comes From Its Own Growth
On these assumptions, FTAI stock would be worth about $267.61 in three years. That assumes revenue grows 30% a year and the net margin stays close to today’s. That price sits 73.4% above today’s level. The table sets today’s figures beside the scenario’s.
| Today | In three years (scenario) | |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $3.11 billion | $6.84 billion |
| Net margin | 15.9% | 14.9% |
| Earnings | $0.496 billion | $1.02 billion |
| P/E | 31.9 | 26.9 |
| Share price | $154.37 | $267.61 |
Revenue more than doubling would alone lift the stock by more than the total projected gain. The 30% a year is a limit Trefis sets. Taking 90% of FTAI’s latest growth of 45.3%, as the scenario’s rule does, would otherwise yield a rate of 40.7% a year. Because that pace is slower than FTAI has delivered, the scenario also assumes a lower P/E than today’s. Together with a slightly lower net margin, that makes the gain smaller than what revenue growth alone would generate.
Where Would FTAI’s Extra Sales Come From?
Aerospace Products is the likeliest source of this growth. It is the business that refurbishes CFM56 engine modules and sells them to outside customers, and it made up 77.2% of revenue in fiscal 2025. Segment revenue rose 79.3% in fiscal 2025 to $1.94 billion. Aviation Leasing revenue fell 9.1% that year, and management said on the July 30, 2026 call that the company is now directing more module output to outside customers rather than to its own leasing pool.
Management also said Aerospace Products’ market share grew from 12% to 14% in fiscal Q2 2026. The company raised its 2026 module production plan to 1,200 units, up from the 1,050 it first projected. Management gives no revenue guidance. Its outlook for fiscal 2027 is $2.3 billion of segment EBITDA, its own profit measure. That outlook includes FTAI Power, a business management says it is starting from zero. An FTAI joint venture has an initial order valued at $1.465 billion from a U.S. hyperscaler for Mod-1 power units to be delivered in 2027.
How Does FTAI’s Upside Change In Different Scenarios?
The table shows the upside with one assumption changed at a time.
| If instead | Upside |
|---|---|
| Nothing changes (the scenario) | 73.4% |
| Revenue growth of 28.0% a year instead of 30.0% | 65.5% |
| Net margin of 12.5% in year three instead of 14.9% | 45.0% |
| P/E of 31.9 in year three instead of 26.9 | 105.3% |
| 5 years at the same assumptions instead of 3 | 193.0% |
FTAI starts from a net margin above its own norm. The company recorded a 15.9% margin over the twelve months to June 2026, compared with an average of 12.5% across the overlapping twelve-month periods that ended from June 2023 to March 2026. FTAI’s diluted share count also rose 3.6% between fiscal Q2 2023 and fiscal Q2 2026. The scenario holds the share count at today’s level, so each share would get less if the count keeps rising.
Evaluated one at a time, revenue growth could slow from the 45.3% FTAI delivered in the twelve months to June 2026 to 8.2% a year before three years of owning the stock return nothing. The net margin could fall to 8.6% before the gain disappears. The P/E could drop to 15.5, compared with 31.9 today.
Aerospace Products revenue growth is the measure to watch when FTAI next reports, expected in October 2026.
