So how reliably has this price turned Autodesk’s shares around?

Has Autodesk Stock Bounced Off This Price Before?

The stock rebounded from this level three times since 2020, though the shares have not turned higher from here in 2026. After closing near this price on September 15, 2020, Autodesk climbed as much as 45.1% by September 2021. The shares also rose as much as 37.2% from August 6, 2024, and as much as 28.4% from March 14, 2025.

Those rallies represent the successful bounces, but the stock did not rise during every visit. In the two years ending October 21, 2026, the shares dropped to within 5% of today’s price five times. The stock rose 20% before falling 5% on only two occasions, following visits in March and April 2025, both part of the March 2025 rebound counted above. During the three most recent visits in January, March and August 2026, the shares fell 5% first.

How Much Could $10,000 In Autodesk Stock Make?

Autodesk faces resistance at $304.69, the price where its rallies stalled four times before. A $10,000 investment at today’s price would grow to $12,440 at that level. Autodesk Is Growing Faster, With One Slower Quarter

Revenue for the twelve months ending July 2026 rose 17.9%, up from 13.8% in the prior twelve-month period. The operating margin reached 29.2% in fiscal Q2 2027, compared with 25.5% in fiscal Q2 2026. Management said on the August 27, 2026 call that the construction business is growing north of 20%. Autodesk also raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast to $8.32 billion at the midpoint, up from $8.19 billion. The revised outlook includes MaintainX, which management expects to add about $60 million of revenue in the second half.

At the end of September, investors were paying little for that growth. Autodesk traded at 5.6 times sales, and the stock was cheaper against its sales at only one of the last 40 quarter ends going back to fiscal Q3 2017. By the October 21 close, the stock traded at 6.6 times sales.

The catch is that revenue grew 16.1% in fiscal Q2 2027, trailing the 17.1% pace recorded in fiscal Q2 2026. Management said a change in how Autodesk sells its software added about 2 percentage points to the 16.1% growth in fiscal Q2 2027. The company also lowered its fiscal 2027 GAAP operating margin forecast to a range of 25% to 27%, down from 26% to 28%, mainly to reflect the accounting for MaintainX. The midpoint fell to 26%. The midpoint fell to 26%. Barron’s reported that the stock dropped after the August 27 report because the profit projections fell short of expectations. If this support breaks, the next support level sits 10.7% lower, at $218.64.

What Should You Watch In Autodesk’s Next Report?

The shares previously bounced from this price, but the stock fell 5% first instead of rising 20% on all three visits in 2026. Autodesk is growing faster and earning a wider margin than a year earlier, even though its sales growth slowed in fiscal Q2 2027. Fiscal Q3 2027 revenue growth, compared with the 16.1% in fiscal Q2 2027, is the figure to watch when Autodesk reports in November 2026.
