Revlon and Avon both cater to largely mid-range beauty products and both the companies have been grappling with their performance, recently. Both their top lines and bottom lines have declined, though Avon’s decline is much more severe than Revlon’s. In an effort to revive its performance, Revlon today announced a new President & CEO, Fabian T. Garcia (effective April 15, 2016). Avon on the other hand sold 80% of its North American business to Cerberus Capital in December 2015 and  received total investments in the amount of $600 million from the latter.
