Walmart (NYSE:WMT) Sam’s Club Revenue per Square Foot has risen from around $722 in 2019 to about $733 in 2020. Trefis expects the metric to rise to around $796 in 2021 and $812 in 2022.
We expect growth to be driven by rising consumer spending and the popularity of the discount bulk model, as many consumers still prefer to buy groceries and other such items at stores rather than online.
We think Walmart stock is slightly undervalued. We value WMT at about $160 per share, about 15% ahead of the current market price.
