Shares of ServiceNow (NOW) have lost 40.6% over the past year, while the S&P 500 returned 11.9%. The sharpest single-day decline occurred on October 29, 2026, when the shares fell 27%. To determine whether the selling is nearly done, investors can start with what is known: at $109.16, the stock has returned to a price it has reached several times since 2023. So has this price held for ServiceNow stock before?

ServiceNow Stock Has Bounced From This Price Before
It has held three times since 2023, though not on every visit. The first two tests began just six weeks apart, meaning their subsequent gains overlap. On August 9, 2023, the stock closed at $110.07, and its highest close within a year was 50.6% above that level. Buyers returned on September 22, 2023, at $110.82. That rally extended further, achieving a peak close 69.2% above its starting point within a year.
The latest bounce materialized this summer. Shares closed at $110.07 on July 30, 2026, and advanced to $138.43 by August 27. That same level failed to hold earlier in 2026, however. Following visits in February, March and June, the stock declined 5% before it could manage a 20% rally.
How Much Could You Make If ServiceNow Stock Bounces?
A $10,000 investment in ServiceNow at today’s price would grow to about $12,450 at resistance of $135.86, a level where a previous rally stalled once before. Along the way, the stock would encounter another threshold at $124.34, where a different rally also stalled once. The advance that began from this price this summer broke through both levels, eventually reaching a peak close of $158.96. Matching the typical bounce from this level in 2023 would turn the same $10,000 into $15,990. A move to resistance is therefore smaller than the stock’s historical bounces from this price.
| Level | Price | From today |
|---|---|---|
| Resistance: a rally stalled here once | $135.86 | 24.5% higher |
| Today | $109.16 | Reference price |
| Support is broken below | $103.70 | 5.0% lower |
| Next support below | $100.58 | 7.9% lower |
The business behind any potential bounce is growing slightly below its historical pace. ServiceNow’s revenue rose 21.8% over the twelve months to September 30, 2026, arriving a touch under its three-year average of 22.1%. The company’s operating margin over those twelve months fell to 9.7%, down from 13.9% a year earlier.
Is ServiceNow’s Business Strong Enough For A Bounce?
Certain segments are strengthening, and management continues to raise its targets. During the October 28, 2026 call, the company lifted its goal for annual contract value from AI to $1.7 billion by the end of 2026, up from the $1.5 billion target it set in May. The EmployeeWorks product reached $100 million of annual contract value in less than three quarters, while Asset Management crossed $1 billion in annual contract value. Investors also pay a low price for those sales: the stock trades at 7.3 times sales, sitting close to the 7.0 multiple it reached at the end of June 2026, its lowest at any quarter end since 2016.
The catch is that this price has given way more frequently than it has held in recent months. The stock has tested this level five times since October 30, 2024. In three of those instances, shares fell 5% before rising 20%, while one visit produced a 20% rally first. The fifth test is the current visit, which began on October 29 and has not yet made either move. Management also expects current RPO, which it calls a good indicator of revenue for 2027, to grow 18.5% in constant currency during the fourth quarter. That represents a deceleration from 21% in constant currency during the third quarter. Management said this guide reflects more on-premise deals and leaves out some backlog, both of which add to revenue but not to current RPO. If the support breaks, the next support below sits 7.9% under today’s price.
Management says the company’s AI momentum will show up as strong revenue growth in 2027. The figure to watch is current RPO growth against its fourth-quarter guide when ServiceNow reports in January 2027.
