Arista keeps raising its revenue outlook as it locks up components, which makes its supply agreements the real driver of the upside case.

Arista Networks (ANET) builds the Ethernet switches behind AI fabrics, and its stock has returned about 35% over the trailing three months to sit about 3% below its 52-week high. So the obvious question is what upside is left. The answer is not more AI demand: by the company’s own account its outlook is set by what it can build, not by what customers are asking for, and that is where the upside sits.

The Forecast Keeps Moving, And Supply Is What Moves It

The 2026 revenue goal Arista set at its Analyst Day was $10.5 billion. That became $11.5 billion in May of 2026, and management has now raised it for the third time in 2026 to approximately $12.6 billion, or 40% annual growth, crediting an improving stance in its supply chain. Revenue in the June quarter crossed $3 billion for the first time, which makes the $2.1 billion added to the goal since the Analyst Day a real step rather than a rounding item. The guide still reflects only the supply Arista is confident it can get, with room to do better over the full year if more of it releases.

Memory, Cold Plates And Chips Bought Years Ahead

The supply improvement behind that raise is specific. Memory supply is secured for 2026, with extended visibility well into 2027 across DDR4, DDR5 and NAND memory. Arista has also built a liquid cooling supply chain from nothing, contracting cold plate, quick disconnect and tubing vendors. Its latest switch, the 7060XE7, carries 1.6 terabit throughput and the first liquid cooling options it has offered. Multiyear purchase commitments have gone from $3.6 billion a year ago to about $9.7 billion at the end of the June quarter, mostly chips for new products and AI deployments. Commitments that size need a balance sheet behind them, and Arista held about $13.3 billion in cash and marketable securities at the same date. The Upside Is Real, And Gross Margin Is Where It Gets Billed

Management is not claiming the shortage is over, and expects the industry to stay short until 2028. Parts bought into a market like that cost more, and the full-year margin guide is where that is booked. Gross margin was 63.4% in the June quarter against 65.6% a year earlier on end customer mix, and the full-year range is held at 62% to 64% with anticipated memory and silicon cost increases already assumed inside it. That makes gross margin, not the revenue line, the number that settles this: a fourth raise with margin inside that band means the cost of that supply is staying contained, while a raise that drags margin below it means Arista is buying growth. This stock has gained more than 30% in under two months on 18 separate occasions since 2014, so moves of that size are not unusual for it, and watching where forecasts are still climbing is how you spot the next one.
