Silver Wheaton announced the signing of a streaming agreement with Vale for an additional 25% of the life of mine gold production from the Salobo mine earlier in the month. Silver Wheaton already has agreements in place with Vale for 50% of the life of mine production from the Salobo mine. With the signing of the latest agreement, Silver Wheaton’s share of production from the Salobo mine rises by 50%, which also boosts the company’s medium term (five year) gold production by 27%.
