How Has Urban Outfitters Revenue Composition Changed Over The Last Three Years?
Urban Outfitters‘ (NASDAQ:URBN) Free People brand, which is targeted to young contemporary women aged 25 to 30, has been driving sales growth for the company in recent years. In FY 2016, year ended January 2016, the comparable net sales growth of the retail segment of URBN was 1.6%, with that of Free People increasing at a rate of 9%. Similarly in FY 2015 and FY 2014, while comps growth for the company was 1.6% and 6%, that of its Free People brand was 19.2% and 31.7%, respectively.
In the future, we expect this trend to continue, where the Free People’s growth outpaces the growth of the rest of the company.
