Currently, Revlon’s growth strategies include improving the relevance of its existing brands, expanding its presence in multiple channels and geographies, and optimizing its cost structures. Revlon has also reorganized its brands under four teams, namely, the Revlon brand, Elizabeth Arden’s products, Fragrances, and the rest of the brands belonging to Revlon (Almay and others). Along with this, the company is also building a solid management team that will help in the fulfillment of its visions. Last month, Revlon announced the appointment of  Mr. Serge Jureidini as President for its Elizabeth Arden and Fragrances divisions.

Reasons For Choosing Mr. Peterson As The New COO

In his last role, Mr. Peterson was the President, Global Brands at Ralph Lauren, a position he held since 2015. His responsibilities included areas of Chief Financial Officer, Investor Relations, Information Technology & Real Estate. Prior to that, he held several management positions including Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President at the same company. Before that, Mr. Peterson was a part of the management and financial teams at Procter & Gamble for around two decades.

Mr. Peterson’s extensive experience in two prominent retail corporations seem to make him a good choice for his current role at Revlon. Since the company is trying to chart a new path and achieve new levels of growth in the beauty industry, it is important for it to choose the right people in leadership roles who are committed towards achieving these visions.
