Why C H Robinson Worldwide Stock Declined Last Week

CH Robinson Worldwide (NASDAQ: CHRW), one of the largest third-party logistics providers, saw its stock decline by 17% over the last week, after it posted a weaker than expected set of Q3 2019 results. EPS came in at $1.07, missing the consensus of about $1.14, while revenue dropped by about 10% to $3.86 billion, below the consensus estimates of $3.93 billion. The company has indicated that pricing had weakened across many of its transportation services due to an oversupply of capacity and softer shipper demand, amid the ongoing trade war between the U.S. and China and fears of a recession. Below, we take a look at how the company has fared over the last few years and what lies ahead.
