Here’s How Estee Lauder Is Strengthening Its Position In The Anti-Aging Market
The premier beauty giant, Estee Lauder, seems to be strengthening its position in the anti-aging beauty market with the launch of several new products. The timing of the release is strategically advantageous because of the advent of winter which requires more care for mature skin. The products are said to suit all types of skin and according to the company has the extract of Moringa which helps in making the skin look more youthful and also helps combat the signs of aging. The products are Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Creme, Global Anti-Aging Wake Up Balm, and the Revitalizing Supreme Plus Global Anti-Aging Collection.
Though Estee Lauder is undertaking numerous initiatives to attract the younger clientele, it is important to keep in mind that the mature beauty user market is also growing and can provide a significant boost to the company’s sales growth. In 2015, the global anti-aging beauty products market size was around $30 billion and it is expected to grow at a CAGR of ~5% between 2016 to 2020. It is therefore important for all the major beauty players to focus on this market which might help boost their growth in the future. An important way to grow in this market is through innovative products and hence, investments on research and development are of crucial importance. Market leaders like L’Oreal and Estee Lauder do have the capacity to invest in research and develop newer products for its mature clientele, which might help them capture a bigger portion of this growing market.
