Is CCC Intelligent Solutions Stock Stronger Than It Looks?
Bulls on CCC Intelligent Solutions (CCC) might be betting on one specific part of the company: the AI-based tools it sells insurers for handling claims. So how big has CCC’s AI business become?

How Big Is CCC’s AI Business Now?
Management said on the July 30, 2026 call that CCC’s AI-based solutions already made up about 11% of revenue in fiscal Q2 2026. That revenue grew about 45% from a year earlier. Total revenue rose 10% to $286 million, and management said the AI tools supplied 4 points of that growth on their own.
Insurers are adding these tools to the CCC platform they already use. On that call, management called the AI solutions “additive” and said two of the top five insurers expanded their use of its First Look solution in the quarter. So far, insurers keep buying CCC’s AI tools.

Are Insurers Spending More With CCC Each Year?
They are, though the rise is small. CCC’s net dollar retention, which compares current spending from existing customers against what they spent a year earlier, was 107% in fiscal Q2 2026. That metric was up from 106% for all of 2025. Management said about 7.5 points of the quarter’s growth came from cross-sell, upsell and the adoption of its AI solutions across the client base, with new customers adding about 2.5 points.
That spending has not yet turned into much profit. Over the twelve months ended June 30, 2026, CCC kept 3.8% of its revenue as net profit, against 13.3% for the S&P 500. On those thin earnings, the stock trades at 103.3 times earnings, against 22.9 for the index. Operating profit is improving, though. Over those twelve months, operating margin was 15.9%, up from 6.4% a year earlier.
CCC Holders Face A Deal And A Slower Guide
CCC holders now have a deal on the table. On October 15, 2026, CCC agreed to be acquired by a group of private investment firms led by GTCR and including Elliott. The all-cash deal carries an enterprise value of about $6.1 billion. If the deal closes, holders get cash for their shares, and any AI growth after that goes to the buyers.
Until then, the pace of overall growth is worth watching. Management guided fiscal Q3 2026 revenue growth to 9% at the midpoint, a little below the second quarter’s pace. It also pointed to about 1 point of drag on growth from the roll-off of an older fleet business and declined to give expectations for 2027.
Insurers are adding CCC’s AI tools quickly, while the extra spending from existing customers is rising more slowly. With an all-cash deal signed, the thing to watch is whether it closes. CCC’s next report is expected on or around October 29, 2026.
