  • Blizzard took away flying, which has been a staple of the game since the first expansion. First they delayed it, promising it in the first major content patch, then delayed it, saying they liked the game without it, but would get feedback from the players before making a decision. Then, the Friday before Memorial Day, released info on a third-party website, that there would be no more flying going forward, and must have had the biggest wave of cancelations in the days that followed, because they reversed that decision in a little over a week. Yet, they have yet to enable flying, even though they said they would. It's not rocket science. Yes, there's a ton of problems with the current expansion, but taking away a staple of the game that a majority of players LOVE, on top of the content issues this expansion, was too much for players to bear, not to mention the duplicity and lying by Blizzard, and disrespect for their paying players. FFXIV has flying and has a huge influx of new players. Connect the obvious dots. [ less... ]
