  • This "strategy" you speak of makes me think there's really not much long term planning behind it. Why would Yahoo dump banners last year they way they did if they're going to try now and court developers? They are wisely following Facebook and Airpush's lead on native mobile ads, but Yahoo unwisely made a lot of contradictory steps in the last year given their new developer suite. I almost have to wonder if this effort was kind of slapped together at the last minute or was it in the works well before Flurry came into the fold. For some reason, and this isn't a knock on Mayer, but I think Yahoo is throwing money at a lot of different things in a lot of different directions without a cohesive plan in place to truly optimize all of these resources is unison.
