The Surface 2 will be a part of Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices business, which also includes the Xbox, Zune and Windows Phone and accounts for nearly 8% of Microsoft’s $32 Trefis price estimate which stands nearly 25% above its current market price.

Considering the relatively low expected sales volume, this won’t move the needle on the stock price but is interesting way that businesses are using technology to engage their customers. Companies like Harrah’s, T-Mobile and Starwoods explored early partnerships with Microsoft for the Surface.
