How Far Boston Scientific Stock Has Bounced From Here

Boston Scientific stock has rallied from this price three times since 2022. A bounce starting on October 28, 2022, lifted the shares to a close 26.7% higher within ten months. A second run beginning on February 9, 2023, climbed further to a close 39.2% higher. The latest recovery started on July 1, 2026, and peaked 20.8% higher seven weeks later.

If the shares bounce again, they will first face resistance at $52.01, the point where the July rally stopped. The table below shows only the higher level. Further resistance sits at $57.78, where an earlier rally stalled. At that higher price, a $10,000 investment made today would be worth about $12,680. Measured over a full year, the two earlier bounces gained 26.7% and 39.2%. At the 33.0% midpoint of those gains, the same purchase would be worth about $13,300. However, those figures track only the successful rebounds. Over the two years since October 15, 2024, the stock has fallen into this price band from above three times, and each time it dropped a further 5% before it could rise 20%. The July rally itself started just below this band at $43.06.

Is Boston Scientific’s Business Strong Enough For A Bounce?

Boston Scientific continues to grow and earn more, but its sales are expanding at a slower pace than its historical record. Revenue rose 13.5% over the twelve months ended June 30, 2026, falling short of the 16.2% average across the prior three such periods. The operating margin has risen each year, climbing from 17.8% in the twelve months ended June 2024 to 18.3% a year later. The operating margin then reached 21.0% in the latest twelve months, marking a ten-year high. The shares trade at 18.2 times earnings, compared with 23.0 for the S&P 500.

Management factored this slowdown into its July forecasts, which were issued before a cyberattack the company disclosed in August. In July, management cut its 2026 revenue growth forecast to 6.0% at the midpoint, from 7.8%. The company also guided for third-quarter revenue growth of 3% to 5%. Management said the U.S. market for WATCHMAN had slowed sharply and unexpectedly, and that competitors had taken more U.S. share from its Electrophysiology business than it expected. On the other hand, management expects growth to improve meaningfully in 2028, when it expects seven new launches. That is a forecast, not a result.

What Could Break Boston Scientific’s Support?

The main risk to a bounce comes from the business itself. On September 8, 2026, Boston Scientific said a cybersecurity incident that disrupted manufacturing and order shipments globally was likely to have a material impact on its third-quarter and full-year 2026 results. In July, management had also said it expects the weaker trends to continue in 2027, with revenue growth falling below that of its markets.

Support is considered broken if the shares close below $43.30. The stock closed beneath that mark as recently as October 14, 2026, at $43.00, after falling to $41.58 on October 7. That $41.58 mark represents the lowest close of the past two years, and now serves as the next level of support at 8.8% under today’s price.

When the company reports, expected on or around October 28, 2026, Boston Scientific’s third-quarter revenue growth against that 3% to 5% guide is the number to watch.
