Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA) is leveraging its highly successful games, Words With Friends, FarmVille, CityVille and Draw Something, to launch real world versions of its online games.  The online social gaming company has entered a partnership with Hasbro to develop four board games inspired by Zynga’s online games. This venture turns the traditional board game market on its head as board games usually inspire online games, and this is the first time that popular online games are being made into real world versions.

FarmVille inspires the game The Hungry Hungry Herd where players try to eat as many apples that are released into the middle of the board. CityVille introduces a version of Monopoly, and Words With Friends resembles the Scrabble board game. The Draw Something game is a take on Pictionary, where players choose a card and make the rest guess the word on the card by drawing it. [1]
