Sprint (NYSE:S) has confirmed that it will start offering unlimited data plan on Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone. [1] The iPhone 4S debuts on October 14th with Verizon (NYSE:VZ), AT&T (NYSE:T) and Sprint with pre-orders starting this Friday, October 7th.

We believe that this is a smart move by Sprint as an unlimited data plan would be a unique selling point for the company as rivals AT&T and Verizon having already put caps on their data plans. We have looked at this topic before and highlighted that if Sprint offers the iPhone with an unlimited data plan, it will help the company lure heavy iPhone data users who may eventually defect from Verizon or AT&T’s networks (see Sprint’s Unlimited Plan Could Win Some Data Junkies from AT&T, Verizon).

Our $4.75 price estimate for Sprint’s stock is about 65% above market price.
