The company’s Ralph Lauren stores feature a wide range of apparel, accessories, home, watch and jewelry, and fragrance assortments, including certain merchandise which is not sold in department stores. During FY 2015, ended March 2015, the company opened eleven new Ralph Lauren stores and shut down six stores. These stores are primarily situated on major street locations and upscale malls, usually in large urban markets, ranging in size from approximately 700 to 38,000 square feet. As part of the company’s global reorganization plan, the company has completed the closure of certain stores which were not profitable. Ralph Lauren has also been vigorously expanding in Asia, reflected in the massive growth in the number of stores operated by the company there. The company has also been able to grow its retail revenues, primarily driven by new store openings in Asia.
