Revlon’s color cosmetics division contributes to around 55% of its revenues and around 60% of our stock price valuation for the company. Revlon is one of the leading players in color cosmetics and we expect it to continue garnering loyalty amongst makeup users. The US is a major market for color cosmetics, amounting for over 18% of the global market size. Revlon generates over 50% of its sales from the U.S., commanding over a 20% share of the US market in color cosmetics. Hence, despite not being able to match bigger competitors such as L’Oreal and Estee Lauder in R&D and advertising, we still expect Revlon to increase its market share over time. Additionally, Revlon’s upcoming Elizabeth Arden acquisition (expected to be completed by the end of 2016), will make the combined entity one of the top 20 beauty companies in the world. We expect Revlon’s color cosmetics revenues to increase by a CAGR of ~12% over the next 5 years.
