Highlights Of Q2 2016

  • The increase in net sales was mainly due to higher sales in the Consumer segment across most of Revlon’s international markets. The brands that performed well in this category included Cutex nail products, SinfulColors color cosmetics, and Mitchum anti-perspirant deodorants. However, Almay color cosmetics dampened this segment’s growth through lower sales.
  • The Professional segment depicted a flat performance in Q2 2016. Though Revlon Professional hair products and American Crew men’s grooming products grew in the international markets, this was offset by the weak sales of CND nail products.
  • The adjusted EBITDA was flat on a constant currency basis because the growth in net sales were offset by the higher cost of goods sold incurred due to the adverse impact of the product and country mix.
