Dividend stocks with more than 50 years of consecutive dividend growth originally published at “long-term-investments.blogspot.com“. As many of you have seen, dividend growth is wonderful tool. A steadily growing passive income from stock market or trading activities is the dream of most of us but nearly all fail.

90% of the investors don’t put their money into long-term growth stocks.
Sure, everybody talks about solid dividend stocks and dividend growth as well as value, but in the end, they became influenced by hotter themes and buy Apple or Research in Motion.

Dividend growth is not a solution trigger for wealth but dividend growth includes some values that help you to avoid the real big mistakes. At least you should realize a long-term return of 8 percent or more.

Today, I like to show you all stocks with the longest history of consecutive dividend growth, also named as Dividend Kings. Those are stocks with more than 50 years of consecutive hikes. Only a small group of 15 companies joined this exclusive class.

I personally own nearly ¼ of the results. Most of the Dividend Kings come from the Dow Jones and they are core investments. Nine of the dividend kings are currently recommended to buy.


Here are my favorite stocks:

The Procter & Gamble (PG) has a market capitalization of $207.55 billion. The company employs 126,000 people, generates revenue of $83.680 billion and has a net income of $9.317 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $16.496 billion. The EBITDA margin is 19.71 percent (the operating margin is 15.88 percent and the net profit margin 11.13 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 22.52 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 46.94 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 13.86 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $3.90. Last fiscal year, the company paid $2.14 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 19.48, the P/S ratio is 2.47 and the P/B ratio is finally 3.35. The dividend yield amounts to 2.97 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.45.

The Coca-Cola Company (KO) has a market capitalization of $168.46 billion. The company employs 146,200 people, generates revenue of $46.542 billion and has a net income of $8.634 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $12.596 billion. The EBITDA margin is 27.06 percent (the operating margin is 23.06 percent and the net profit margin 18.55 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 35.72 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 90.31 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 27.37 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $1.92. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $6,483.00 million. The EBITDA margin is 21.68 percent (the operating margin is 21.68 percent and the net profit margin 15.08 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 17.71 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 33.26 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 26.56 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $6.32. Last fiscal year, the company paid $2.36 in the form of dividends to shareholders.
