L’Oreal and Estee Lauder are the top two global beauty companies with 2015 revenues of $28 billion and $11 billion, respectively. Skincare comprises around 30% and 47% of our stock price valuation for L’Oreal and Estee Lauder, respectively. We observe that Estee Lauder’s revenue and EBITDA growth rates had been higher than L’Oreal, though the latter enjoys a bigger portion of the global skincare market. Also, though both the companies witnessed a decline in market share between 2010 and 2015, there has been a larger decline for L’Oreal.
