Windows Phone may have a laughable market share in the smartphone space right now, but it is expected to become the third largest smartphone platform in the coming years. The Windows Phone app comes with a number of features including real-time updates, news, connections, job search, following companies etc.

Going forward, LinkedIn will benefit not only through mobile advertising on its apps, but also by leveraging them to increase engagement on its platform.

Ads and Marketing currently account for nearly 30% of LinkedIn’s total $44 value estimate, which stands nearly 50% below its market price. LinkedIn competes primarily with Facebook and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) in the online advertising space and Monster (NYSE:MWW) in online job search.
