How Much Can The Coca-Cola Drink Grow In The Next Five Years?
The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) generates a significant chunk of its net revenue from the Coca-Cola drink. However, the decreasing demand for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) due to the perceived ill-effects of the high amounts of sugar in these drinks is expected to take a toll on Coca-Cola too. Trefis expects the contribution of the Coca-Cola drink in the company’s top line to fall in the next five years due to a combination of two factors — slowing volume in the developed markets such as the U.S., and declining revenue per case in international markets due to a strengthening U.S. dollar and as Coca-Cola refranchises its bottling plants.
