In the month of September 2016, the low cost carrier, JetBlue, saw its capacity increase 7.9%, highest amongst its peers. Including this month, so far in the year, capacity is up as much as 10.3% for JetBlue. Its passenger traffic and passengers boarded increased by an impressive 10.8% each. The fall in JetBlue’s unit revenues was arrested to only -2%, as compared to 5.5% in August. The company expects the decline in the metric, for the third quarter, to be in the range of 3%-4%.
