IntercontinentalExchange’s Equity Options Volumes Continue To Decline In September
IntercontinentalExchange‘s equity options volumes saw an 8% year on year (y-o-y) decline in September. In spite of a slight increase in industry-wide equity options daily trading volumes, the volume decline is likely due to a drop in subsidiary NYSE’s market share. However, the exchange’s trading volumes and market share have improved from prior months.
Going forward, we expect an improving market share and industry-wide growth in trading volumes to likely boost the exchange’s trading volumes.
