IntercontinentalExchange’s Equity Option Volumes Surge in June
In contrast to the lukewarm growth seen in April and May, IntercontinentalExchange saw an 8% year on year (y-o-y) increase in equity options volume in June. This surge in volumes is attributable to the volatility caused by the impact of the “Brexit” in the financial markets. However, a 12% y-o-y decline in average rate per contract is likely to offset the gains made in equity options revenues from higher trading volume.
