How Will ICE’s 2016 Data Service Market Share Be Affected By The IDC Acquisition?
IntercontinentalExchange Group (NYSE:ICE) is focused on growing its market data segment to take advantage of the increasing demand for information and analytics across asset classes. Between 2006 and 2015, ICE’s data revenues increased from 11% to 41% of overall revenues. In line with this strategy, the company undertook the acquisition of Interactive Data Corporation in 2015. We expect the combined entity’s data service revenues to grow at a faster pace than the overall market in 2016. The table below breaks down our expectations for the combined entity’s 2016 market share.
