Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) has launched a new Facebook for WordPress plugin which enables WordPress users to easily integrate Facebook features like social publishing, mentions and comment discussions into their WordPress blogs. It enables users to cross-post content to their Facebook Timeline and adds in some other widgets like a live activity feed, recommendations, customizable like, subscribe and send buttons and a comments box. With this move, Facebook is trying to weave its platform more deeply into the fabric of the blogging universe, which is dominated by WordPress. This new plugin puts it in a better position to compete with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) which owns Blogger, WordPress’s primary competitor.

WordPress blogs attract more than 600 million unique visitors every month. By integrating its social features with WordPress, Facebook could see greater engagement on its platform, which could drive its social advertising revenue. Besides that, it could also stand to gain by analyzing the tons of usage data generated by users on websites integrated with its social plugins, and deliver better targeted ads to them.

We currently have a $33 Trefis price estimate for Facebook, most of which is derived from its social text and display advertising business. It competes primarily with Google, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Yahoo (NYSE:YHOO) in the online advertising space.

  • Have website ready to help this company grow, I like weeding out the ones that give up and learn from the ones who get back on the horse, one site we have is a foundation that lets people print out coupons that save them money while giving automatically to the cancer leukemia foundation and if the don't see a coupon they want they fill out our contact page with what they want then we let company that makes or supplies the product or service aware and let them know on the website and we never had one product not get some results, we are marketing there product which in turn we donate to this great foundation that helps people and save the people who printed the coupon. It is a win win win situation and face book could really help grow this and other websites we are working on. it is all about giving through marketing and creates a good feeling for all the user of coupons who print or turn in idea's of what they want the company who provides this need and the foundation helps those who need it and also if you think out of the box the person suggesting the new coupon is really telling this company people want this product so they better get to work. We have several sites but this site called usabaygreen.com is really a star starting to shine for many. It would show just how much face book does care a quiet the people who like to be negative anyway, I hope you show this to mark he is a doer and his new bride is what can we say .it is nice to see people be happy and care and work to make it better for all.
