Rankings display EA’s growing foothold in social gaming
The latest ranking by Facebook confirms the growing clout of EA in social gaming. The Sims Social, launched in August 2011, has been a hugely popular game on Facebook and contributed heavily to EA’s Q2 Fiscal 2012 results. Additionally, FIFA Superstars has also received a good acceptance among the social gamers.
With Facebook emerging as a serious platform for gaming, EA has put social games very high on its strategy going forward. Additionally, the company has also done some smart acquisitions such as the acquisition of MMO developer KlickNation that along with adding to EA’s social revenues will also contribute in widening EA’s span of social games genre.
Trefis EA price estimate stands at $20.62, which is inline with its current market price.
