Salesforce.com to Widen Cloud Computing Reach with Deloitte Partnership
Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM) is one of the leaders in the cloud-based enterprise software market, where it competes with the likes of Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL), SAP (NYSE:SAP), and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT). It recently announced an alliance with Deloitte, one of the largest consulting firms in the world, to provide multinational companies with “software, mobile and open cloud computing technologies for the social enterprise.” [1]

Given Deloitte’s huge customer base that mostly comprises large enterprises, this move could help boost Salesforce.com’s standing in the cloud-based enterprise software market. Salesforce.com is already a leader in cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) and continues to launch several new cloud-based products and services.
