Amazon – Company of the Day
Amazon plans to launch a service that will allow Kindle users, as well as those with a Kindle app, to borrow e-books for free from U.S. libraries. The move could provide a spark to Kindle sales, although we note that other prominent e-readers (Barnes & Noble’s Nook, for example) already offer borrowing from libraries.

Suntech Power – Forecast of the Day
Suntech Power would have reason to cheer if the Chinese government goes through with its plan to ease control over the country’s booming polysilicon industry. Increased polysilicon production capacity would reduce polysilicon prices, which are the single biggest cost associated with the manufacturing of PV modules for Suntech.
