Leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer  Applied materials (NYSE:AMAT) is set to report its Q2 2016 earnings on May 19th. (Fiscal years ending with October.) Although sales growth likely remained flat in Q2, we believe that the company may well see increased growth in the second half of FY 2016, driven by an increased cap-ex spending by its key customers.
