Accenture (NYSE:ACN) is positioned as a leader in worldwide implementations of SAP solutions according to the report “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SAP Implementation Ecosystem 2012 Vendor Analysis.” The report covered the twelve largest systems integrators for SAP applications. The analysis is based on an IDC framework which covers multiple vendor criteria such as experience, technical expertise and success of prior implementations. Accenture came out on top when compared to peer companies such as Capgemini, IBM, HPQ, PwC and Deloitte. ((IDC Marketscape, www.idc.com, July 2012))
The assessment framework highlights factors that IDC expects to be the most influential for success in the market in both the short term and the long term. Accenture is focused on developing analytics solutions based on the SAP HANA platform as the platform is becoming popular with the clients due to the speed and performance offered by in-memory computing. This rating is likely to become a boost for the already growing cloud, mobile and database solutions of Accenture.
According to the IDC Marketscape, Accenture is currently one of the leading implementers of SAP based solutions globally with a strong practice in large-scale business transformation, business process improvement, and application outsourcing. It employs nearly 36,500 SAP practitioners worldwide with delivery and support for a range of industry-specific business services. These includes large-scale implementations covering Core ERP, supply chain management, analytics, HANA, mobility, and cloud solutions.
We estimate that Outsourcing and Technology Consulting constitutes ~50% of our current Trefis price estimate for Accenture of $62, which is slightly above the current market price.
