Apple breaks RIM’s lead in enterprise market

Traditionally, RIM has been the leading player in the enterprise smartphone market due to the robust data security that the company provides. However, now enterprises are more open in letting employees bring their personal device to work. This shift in mentality have helped Apple and Android gain presence in corporate world.

Apple gains in PC market too

Apple’s gain is not only evident in the smartphone market, but also in the PC market. According to a report, Apple Mac’s platform market share exceeded 5% worldwide for the first time in the last 15 years. [2] This is an incredible achievement considering Mac PCs are considered more expensive than the mainstream PCs.
