Why We Expect iPhone ASPs To Trend Lower
Apple‘s (NASDAQ:AAPL) average iPhone selling prices have trended upwards over the last two years as the company introduced the large-screen iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, while also altering its storage mix to make the more lucrative high-capacity models more attractive to consumers. However, we believe that average prices could trend lower over the next few years amid currency headwinds in emerging markets (which are becoming more important to Apple), the launch of more economical devices and potentially more generous storage capacity on base iPhone models.
